IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role is ideal for a creative and quality focused IT systems professional, who wishes to immerse themselves into the commercial dynamics of a successful and rapidly growing company. Your focus will primarily be on messaging systems and maintaining identity management scripts and other areas of automation. Your role will be to ensure smooth system-run by performing updating, installing, troubleshooting, recovering and maintaining of the existing and new features.
Therefore you will be self-motivated, approachable and adaptable and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). You will also be enthusiastic about providing the best possible service internally and externally and will possess or be working towards the MCITP professional qualification and other appropriate professional qualifications the role may require.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in architecting and administering Microsoft based solutions, with good problem solving skills of business critical systems, meticulous about detail and capable of working pro-actively and on your own initiative in carrying out your day-to-day role with limited need for supervision.
REQUIRED SKILLS
In-depth knowledge in managing and deploying Microsoft Exchange at an Enterprise level. Must have proven experience in managing at least one large and or complex deployment.
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory
Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering
Knowledge and experience with SCOM monitoring advantageous
Competent knowledge of PowerShell required; other languages advantageous.
C# experience preferred
Devise, develop and implement solutions and procedures and test these regularly for the ongoing benefit of the business.
Administer application Servers, database Servers, and business infrastructure Servers as necessary.
Improve existing systems with proactive analysis and in line with expectations of the IT Support Manager and the business.
Strong troubleshooting skills
USER SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION
Interface between production and other teams within the company to develop business-critical systems.
Work with system users to define their needs, identify problems, evaluating potential solutions, demonstrating, installing and implementing improvements.
Collaborating in the design and development of the system to meet user needs and respond to/anticipate technological advancements.
Assist manager to improve skills of more junior team members, proactively challenge processes and conduct training sessions when necessary.
Communicate issues and workload with manager on a regular basis.
SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
Suggest creative solutions to develop the business systems to provide more reliable or effective support as the company develops and expands.
Support business infrastructure expansion in all offices
Support recommendations with accurate information, predictions and an understanding of business implications.
Project manage upgrades or system implementations by working closely with suppliers and managers ensuring that appropriate information is communicated on a timely basis.
Ensure that all users are kept informed of relevant changes or developments on a timely basis and that all relevant training is provided.
Maintain and develop knowledge of technology developments and systems knowledge.
