MICROFLUIDICS ENGINEER
LEUVEN, BELGIUM
6 MONTH CONTRACT (EXTENDABLE)
€20-40/HOUR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

THE ROLE
ConSol Partners client are looking for an engineer with a background in the field of microfluidics, and more specifically in Life Science applications of microfluidics. She/he has to be highly motivated to work in a lab environment on a daily basis together with our design engineers and application scientists. Hands-on laboratory experience is required.
This person will have to:
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and biologists
- Test prototype microfluidic devices
- Analyze test results according to scientific standards
- Design and execute test plans together with application scientists
- Interface with external vendors for selection of components or procurement of customized parts
THE INDIVIDUAL
- You have at Master or a PhD degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, bio-engineering, physics or other equivalent discipline.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in microfluidic device testing, having matured this experience in Life Science related activities will be an asset.
- It is essential that you are a hands-on person with excellent engineering skills and a personal drive to achieve project goals.
- You have experience working in a research or development environment involving early prototype development
