Microbiologist Manager

A licensed Pharmaceutical Microbiology Contract Laboratory which provides a complete range of microbiological testing for the Pharmaceutical industry and is based in Stoke-on-Trent currently require a Microbiologist Manager. This includes sterility testing which is performed in a state of the art clean room equipped with a grade A sterility test isolator.

The client's facilities and capabilities also extend to microbiological examination of non-sterile products, bacterial endotoxin testing and environmental services, including method development and validation projects.

Our client continues to show impressive growth and are now recruiting an experienced microbiologist to assist with the rapidly expanding client portfolio and the running of the laboratory.

The role that they are recruiting is a Microbiology Manager who will supervise a team of microbiologists at their offices.

The successful candidate will be educated to graduate level or above in Microbiology or a Biological Science with a minimum of 3 years laboratory experience, preferably within a microbiology GMP environment.

It is essential that you are:
Familiar with the European Pharmacopoeia in particular Microbial testing and method suitability testing.
Have:
A minimum of three years' experience in a GMP microbiology laboratory;
A flexible and enthusiastic attitude to work.
The following experience would be advantageous:
Supervising and training junior staff members;
Experience or working knowledge of equipment validation in a GMP environment;
Experience of Out of Specification investigations and CAPA;
Working with an Isolator or other Restricted Access Barrier Systems (RABS);
Equipment validation
