Our global trading organisation client requires a Messaging Migration Specialist to join the Directory and Messaging Project Team with experience of migrations from Lotus to Exchange and Exchange to Exchange inc (2013)
The role will provide daily analysis and support to the consolidation of multiple AD and Messaging (from Lotus Domino and Exchange) environments into a new common global platform - Exchange 2013.
Working for the corporate IT team and reporting into our Global Migration Architect, this role will have close interactions with our regional/local IT teams to support their migration planning, development of migration run-books, deployment and configuration of migration tooling and providing support during migration execution. The position will be based just outside of Zurich with extensive travel globally.
The position encompasses:
lQuest migration QMM, QCS, NME tools
lProven experience of Microsoft Active Directory (2008 or 2012) and Microsoft Exchange (2010 and 2013)
lProven experience of Active Directory migration and Lotus Notes email migration
lExtensive knowledge of Quest/Dell Migration Toolset for Active Directory, and Lotus Notes/Domino to Exchange, Exchange to Exchange Migrations (inc. 2013)
lPowerShell/VBscrip/.NET Scripting
lStrong collaboration skills
lStrong presentation skills
lStrong interpersonal skills (verbal and written in English) in order to communicate with all levels of the business & IT.
lOpen, clear and transparent communications.
lSkilled user of MS Project and MS Office tools (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
lSupport the local migration teams and global Migration Architect to define migration plans that meet objectives and the requirements of each site.
lSupport local IT teams through the migration process, including local planning, testing and migration execution
lCoordination with global IT teams, local project managers, third-party vendors and external implementation partners.
lMigration incident and problem management
lProactively identify issues and provide solutions
Straight forward/hands on approach
