Mental Health Commissioner

The post-holder's main duties are:

- To lead the development, delivery and implementation of integrated health and social care commissioning strategies and plans with a focus on the development of consistent, evidence-informed, high quality practice in mental health treatment and support pathways.
- To act as lead commissioner and delegated budget holder of mental health services on behalf of the CCG and the Council, and within the governance systems of both organisations.
- To take the lead role in representing the Borough at formal public meetings on matters relating to Mental Health.
- Lead service improvement, redesign and modernisation across the prevention/primary/secondary care interface for adult mental health services, promoting recovery, social inclusion, choice, independence and self-directed support and ensuring links with the integrated care pilot.
- Work with finance staff to implement Payment by Results (PbR), develop programme budgets and manage any associated risks to mental health contracts and SLAs.
