Megasys Technician (Gas & Chemical)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MEGASYS TECHNICIAN to join our client in Austin, TX.

JOB OVERVIEW:
- This temporary position is for the duration of approximately 24 months.
- PAY RATE: DAY SHIFT IS $15.00 PER HOUR AND THE NIGHT SHIFT IS $16.00 PER HOUR.
- NOTE: 12 hour shifts working on an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week. Day shift 6:00 AM-6:00 PM, night shift 6:00 pm-6:00 AM.
- NOTE: Contractor will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work on shift with a team without supervision.
- Develop a functional proficiency for site equipment, which includes chemical, slurry, and gas delivery systems.
- Perform container changes (bottles, drums, totes, bulk tankers).
- Perform alarm response for delivery equipment.
- Perform noninvasive preventative maintenance using documented procedures.
- Update electronic equipment logs.
- On the job training will allow the technician to develop fundamental knowledge to assist with technical support, which includes equipment troubleshooting and system adjustments.
- Such troubleshooting/adjustments include:
- Regulator adjustments.
- Concentration/Conductivity/Particle excursion response.
- Pump rebuilds.
- Transducer adjustments.

Job Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and hands-on technical and/or electronics experience preferred.
- Must be a strong team player and willing to work rotating shifts, on-call schedule, holidays, weekends or off shifts.
- Willing to perform physical labor which is generally associated with cylinder and drum movements.
- A Fit for Duty Evaluation will be required: occasional lifting and carrying 25-50 lbs, frequent movements like bending, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulders, pushing & pulling, exposure to changes in temperature/humidity and wearing protective equipment like respiratorvisit our website to learn more about our company.
