Contract: 12 months

Rate: Circa £30.00 per hour

The Company:

A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.

The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit a test engineer to join their busy test team. The test engineer will be responsible for planning, set up, commissioning and support of all engineering tests on aircraft fuel system pumps, actuators and hydro-mechanical units. Working within an ATEX classified area, the test engineer will deliver a number of safety critical tests including contamination tests, vibration tests, simulated operations, cyclic and ultimate pressure tests, thermal and climatic tests.

The test engineer will review all test data, produce test reports and present test results to the team as appropriate. In addition to this the test engineer will liaise closely with other teams to ensure that the tests meet project requirements.

The Candidate:

A degree or HND qualified test engineer, you will have experience or working on test and development projects within the aerospace industry. As an experienced test engineer you should have the ability to solve technical issues and advise project teams to ensure the correct test equipment is available and correctly defined in advance or a rig build. You will be able to compile test data and write concise and appropriate test reports. Ideally you will have an understanding of fuel systems, but candidates with extensive experience of running any hydro-mechanical test would also be strongly considered.
