Mechanical Technician/Tooling Technician

TOOLING TECHNICIAN

Mechanical Technician required for a world leading Oil and Gas Company based out Aberdeen for an 8 month initial contract. Candidates will be required to have experience Tooling Equipment. This position is for a 40 hour working week, with 8 am/5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am/1:30 Friday pm.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creation of Production line test equipment kits with necessary cross overs, hoses and large production test equipment

Resetting of Production line test kits

Configure sub/sea Testing stumps, connectors, URTs, XT Caps, THRTs for use in testing

Set up of test bays with standard test fittings/hoses etc.

Responsible for the maintenance and register of hoses

Responsible for the stock management of test equipment

5S of Storage areas for quick identification of test equipment

Calibration control and maintenance of test equipment

MANDATORY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Mechanical based apprenticeship or 3/5 years experience in mechanical role

Basic computer skills ie Microsoft office

Experience within heavy manufacturing environment

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Previous experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably subsea

Experience in use using forklift trucks and overhead cranes
