Position: Mechanical Technical Lead
Location: Rugby
Industry: Automotive
Salary £40-45,000 plus bonus, pension and Health cover

Purpose

- To lead the engineering design teams
- To support the project manager though product development from initial concept and scope right through to production and delivery

Responsibilities

- Lead a team of engineering designers in different countries
- Ensure the project accurately reflects what was sold and meets customer requirement
- Recommendation of best practice
- Create quality supporting data to show productivity manning and facility layout
- To produce detailed analyses of cell and shop layouts, incorporating lean layout and other customer requirements
- To maintain, and where appropriate apply an up-to-date awareness of new and developing technologies
- To promptly report potential and actual process changes that may reduce the potential cost in manufacture.

Requirements

- HND or degree in engineering plus experience
- Experience in the automotive industry ideally BIW/welding
- Manufacturing background and knowledge of tool design and joining methods
- CAD experience ideally to include Catia and AutoCAD
