Mechanical, Por/E, Solidworks, Inventor, FEA, SPM, ANSYS

A client based in Cumbria is looking for a Mechanical designer with CAD Design skills (any Package). This will be for an initial 12 month contract.

Required.
Experienced 3D design skills.
Experience in mechanical design and coordinating equipment layouts.
Experience producing/supervising the production of detail designs.
Some experience producing mechanical calculations.
Some experience producing mechanical documentation to support designs ie outline installation method statement, DJR, DAR, Design Risk Assessment, Technical Files.
Good communication skills.
HNC Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline)

Skills.
Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks or Pro/E.
Some experience in research developing new equipment/machinery.
Experience in FEA and the use of 'ANSYS' software.
Experience of design for nuclear sites/facilities.
Experience of working on projects for Sellafield site and conversant with design processes, procedures and standards.
Experience checking and design drawings/documentation.
Degree qualified

Preferably like to see some nuclear industry experience but if not should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas of mechanical design

* Mechanical handling equipment. Special purpose machinery. Remote handling. Piped systems. Structural steelwork. HVAC

It would also be nice to see some experience in highly regulated industries if no nuclear experience exists eg Oil and gas, food processing, MoD etc.
