Mechanical & Piping Engineer (FR/ENG)

Mission Description:

Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products.
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Works under general supervision.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Mission responsibilities:

" Assist the project manager (Mechanical & Piping) with improvement and installation requests in the chemical and pharmaceutical production buildings
" Assist in analysis of project requests and requirements needed, in collaboration with other departments that are involved in the projects
" Carry out feasibility studies, basic design and detailed design
" Realize budget estimates
" Create tender requests towards suppliers
" Participate in trade negotiations
" Monitor and verify orders and the reception of the delivered goods
" Report the progress of the different projects
" Ensure that all information is communicated pro-actively to guarantee a smooth conduct of field operation
" Ensure that correct GMP practices are applied, documentation requirements provided and a completed technical file for project closure

Specific professional/technical expertise and key skills required:

" Experience in Industrial Piping & Clean Piping
" Fluent in reading mechanical drawings/plans
" Fluent in reading P&IDs and isometric piping plans
" Accurate calculation/dimensioning using equipment/piping elements, pumps, heat exchangers, safety devices, valves
" Basic knowledge of welding techniques for stainless steels
" Basic knowledge of Atex, Directive Machines, PED, RGPT, RGIE
