Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent (Aberdeen)

We are now seeking an experienced mechanical maintenance superintendent to join us in our busy Aberdeen office. You will have worked with a drilling contractor previously and must have relevant offshore exposure, this is imperative as this position will involve regular offshore trips and vendor visits. You will come from a strong mechanical background, and will have previous personnel supervision experience. You will possess relevant trade papers and recognised qualifications. In return we are offering a fantastic package including a salary in excess of £90,000, a 20% retention bonus scheme, a KPI bonus up to 5%, contributory pension and other benefits. JOB TITLE: Maintenance Superintendent (Mechanical) REPORTING TO: Country Manager, Team Leader and E&I Manager SUPERVISING: All offshore maintenance teams, relevant third party contractors. TASKS: * Undertake and maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with company policy * Record unit modifications and changes as per company standards. * Ensure maintenance activities are planned and scheduled for timely completion, and routines and modifications are requested appropriately. * Investigate maintenance related failures * Ensure rig spares are systematically reviewed, stocks critically managed (financially and operationally). * Commercially manage specialist visits, and raise purchase orders beforehand, ensuring third party contractors adhere to company standards. * Conduct offshore visits as required. * Provide specialist technical support. * Develop annual budgets and 5 year asset plans * Track maintenance budgets to ensure costs are visible to relevant rig management teams. * Identify and document rig improvement and best practice and disseminate this via the corporate maintenance function. * Ensure maintenance staff are trained and competent in the tasks and recruit where necessary.
