Mechanical/Hydraulic Design Engineer - Central Belt of Scotland

Progressive Global Energy have been tasked with sourcing a Mechanical/Hydraulics Engineer to join a company in the Central Belt of Scotland on a staff basis.

The company is part of a global service company to the Oil and Gas industry, and are one of the many divisions of the group across not only the UK, but the world.

Due to an increase in the projects from mainly the North Sea, there is a need to get a Mechanical/Hydraulic Design Engineer on board on a staff basis.
The position can pay up to £35k per annum, and they have an impressive benefits package which is mirrored from their Aberdeen offices, inclusive of the following:

Within this role you will be involved in the design of mechanical/hydraulic engineering systems, as well as providing engineering support to existing projects. You will be expected to apply sound engineering skills to develop and create robust solutions to the everyday engineering problems experienced in this type of role.

This will include the following responsibilities:

* Producing hand and fEA calculations
* Guiding draughters in the design office in the production of manufacturing drawings
* Designing hydraulic systems
* Calculating required sizes of hydraulic pumps and motors
* Attending sites when required to set your designs to work and test
