Job Title Mechanical HVAC Design EIT/PE

Location Houston, TX, US

Primary Job Responsibilities

* Performs mechanical design calculations (i.e., heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, process piping, etc.), sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment
* Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.
* Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and architects and recommends necessary changes.
* Researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials.
* Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
* Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
* May attend kick-off and design review meetings, and interacts with clients as his or her level of experience progresses
* Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
* Must have an EIT certification, or have the ability to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam within six months of hire.
* At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD or Revit is required
* At least 3 years of experience with Mechanical design of HVAC systems is required
