Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER - MANUFACTURING to join our client in Portland, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mechanical Engineer will design the CNC machined and sheet metal based mechanical hardware using Pro/E Creo 2.0
- Mechanical Engineer will create the ECAD/MCAD drawings for communicating the mechanical keep outs to PCB design engineers
- Mechanical Engineer will also perform finite element analysis (static stress) of the components and assemblies using Pro/E or Ansys
- Mechnical Engineer will create detailed part and assembly drawings for hardware manufacturing
- Other duties include: working with the local and offshore suppliers to get the hardware manufactured, test the prototypes of the mechanical hardware against a defined test plan, conduct detailed and disciplined design reviews with the teams,

Job Qualifications:
- BS in ME & Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering and hardware design with experience in overall product life cycle
- MUST have seven to fifteen (7-15) years of experience in the mechanical hardware design
- MUST have a high level of proficiency in Pro/E Creo 2.0 (Modeling, Assembly, Detailing, Mechanica)
- MUST have a high level of proficiency in Pro Windchill 10.0
- Solid experience in Finite Element Analysis using Ansys or equivalent tool
- Expertise in electronic industry (solid understanding of PCB architecture and components)
- Past experience in implementing GD&T Experience with SolidWorks CAD program.
- Ability to conduct first article inspection, mechanical assembly and tolerance analysis.
