Mechanical Engineer Job

MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT HIRE opportunity with Yoh's client located in Lake Forest, CA.

- Pro/E
- FDA industry experience
- Strong communication skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop innovative solutions for ophthalmic surgical equipment
- Design, build, document and test mechanical fixtures using Pro-E
- Write and document test procedures, protocols and technical reports
- Verify product performance requirements
- Work with other teams as well as independently for requirements, detailed product design, performance verification and validation
- Set up labs

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- 5 + 10 years of experience in an FDA regulated industry ie, surgical devices, medical devices, implantable, catheters, dental, short duration, or something in that field required
- PRO/E experience is required; recent experience preferred
- Various experiences in an engineering environment doing Validation & Verification, documentation, design, prototyping, quality, manufacturing etc.
- Knowledge of FEA optimization, tolerance analysis and GD&T preferred
- Developing and writing test scripts and test cases
- Hands on experience with injection molds, Prototype design and small mechanisms preferred
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required
