Mechanical Engineer Job

MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a SIX (6) MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with the possibility of direct hire with Yoh's client located in Baytown/Houston, TX.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Position located at client site-large industrial chemical facility. Tobacco free workplace.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prepares and reviews engineering specifications.
- Develop and specify equipment sizing calculations for heat exchangers, vessels, tanks, pumps and other process equipment as required.
- Reviews vendor proposals and performs technical evaluations and recommendations.
- Reviews vendor generated design data and documentation.
- Coordinates technical details of vendor provided mechanical and process equipment with other engineering disciplines to support their design deliverables.
- Develops scope and estimate documentations.
- Plan work/Manages junior level staff as required per project schedule.
- Develops and manages mechanical discipline execution strategy.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BSME from an accredited university.
- 10 to 20 years engineering experience, preferably with an AE or EPC firm
- Familiar with design and engineering principles associated with pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of field work as needed to collect and verify data.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Texas PE License preferred but is not required.
