Mechanical Engineer - HVAC

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer seeking a new opportunity? An exciting contract has arisen to join a expanding team within the Nuclear Industry. The role is an excellent opportunity to work in the centre of excellence for the management of Urenco materials, decommissioning and recycling. To support the Lead Engineer Mechanical in ensuring the development of the Mechanical Engineering for the project complies with the project design input specifications and associated design guidance.

Objective
Responsibilities may include the engineering, supervision and checking across a number of functional areas including. Utilities and pipework. Mechanical Handling. Nuclear Ventilation. Machine Design. Material selection. Process layout. Automation. Operating and Maintenance. Nuclear Safety

. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (desirable). HVAC

An experienced Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of the general process and/or the nuclear industries gained over an extended period. Previous experience of working within multi-discipline project design teams. Has the ability to develop design concepts and philosophies, chair design reviews and produce technical specifications and reports. Knowledge of engineering safety and quality standards. Good document writing skills. Practical knowledge of CAD systems. Experience of supervising the work of designers and other engineers. Engineering knowledge and experience across the functional areas listed above
