Mechanical Engineer - Government role - Oxfordshire

My client, a high-profile Government organisation, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team for 6 months in Oxfordshire. You will be working in the labs, helping to build black body cavities, calibration sources, running tests, assisting in designs, looking at deflection, static deflection, calculations and micro-vibrations.

This is a great opportunity to work within the public-sector, as you will be working on a spacecraft project that will not only give you a unique project but enhance your CV and give you access into public sector contracts further down the line.

You need to be an experienced designer of equipment for use in space or similar environment (cleanliness levels, vacuum compatible materials, vibration and thermal environment, low mass). Solidedge and CAD experience is ESSENTIAL.
