MY CLIENT A LEADING DEFENCE ORGANISATION BASED IN GOSPORT IS URGENTLY SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER FOR A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS. THIS IS A 12 MONTH ROLE WORKING BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM- 5PM MONDAY - FRIDAY.
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is reasonably senior and able to work independently to progress a programme of work. They would be required to work on the design/procurement/interface of 4 pieces of kit for a project we are currently working on which would include a new motor drive to use in ship model experiments (submarines in this case); a new rotating LDV (Laser Doppler Velasometry) for use in one of our facilities, a large unsteady force module and a Hydrophone facility.
MUST HAVE:
- Mechanical/Design Engineering degree and previous experience of design/procurement/interface of pieces of kit for aircraft or defence projects.
