OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
Seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a flair for design and with proven analytical skills is required to join an interdisciplinary group with the engineering services department of the advanced technology centre. The group is dedicated to the development of future aerospace and defence systems and has a broad technology capability which includes areas such as structural design and analysis with harsh operating environments.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
The role will involve working with customers to understand and develop requirements and then providing bespoke design solutions supported by appropriate analysis.
The role will involve a high level of self-direction.
An excellent technical background is required, with a sound knowledge of design, analysis, materials science and mechanical structures
Most important is an ability to learn new skills and techniques quickly. Good interpersonal skills are required as much of the work is team based.
The ability to report clearly and concisely is important, both written and verbal
Degree qualified with a mechanical engineering or a related discipline or equivalent
The successful candidate will also be experienced in the use of analytical techniques to assess the structural and thermal integrity of complex systems.
The successful candidate will be required to use CAD tools to design a wide range of complex electro-mechanical systems.
