Mechanical Drafter

MECHANICAL DRAFTER HILLSBORO, OR 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Currently we re looking for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to help the design engineering team with 2D detail part drawings, assembly drawings, CAD database management and some design details for mechanical and electromechanical devices or systems.

Responsibilities include 2D detail and assembly drawings, documentation reviews, and helping resolve design and implementation issues. Working on system and mechanical issues in a lab environment. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

KEY TASKS: Work with mechanical engineering team on, electrical, thermal, and other engineering disciplines to develop platform/module/board level electronic packaging architecture, perform technical feasibility studies, develop schedule and resource estimates and cost assessments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of experience in mechanical analysis and design
- 3+ years of experience with ProEngineer/Creo 3D CAD and PDMLink/Windchill CAD Database
- 3+ experience with creating 2D detail and assembly drawings in ProEngineer/Creo
- Experience with MS Office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent written, verbal communication and teamwork skills
- BSME a plus

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Electronic Packaging Design
- Knowledge of design techniques used for EMI suppression, thermals and shock/vibration in electronics enclosures
