Our client will introduce a new professional machine this year in a Lead Customer Program with focus on time to market. This means that the design is not yet suitable for larger production numbers. R&D is responsible for the quality of the current produced machines.

The next phase in the project will be design improvement to guarantee robust design working latitude. Next to that, the market requests for an extended media range. Using available prototypes, test equipment and architecture and design documentation, the current design must be verified and optimized in order to guarantee and extend working latitude. The goal is to transfer the PDP to manufacturing and service division in order to scale up independent of R&D.As a Mechanical Designer Flow you form a part of a multidisciplinary project. This project is divided into modules, which are developed by multi-disciplinary teams of approximately 5-10 people. In a team you are responsible for the mechanical and/or flow aspects of the design.

In discussion with the architects and designers, you define and translate the demands of the market and product into design specifications. For improved functionality of the design of a vacuum plate, you will model the impact of increased flow rate. Modeling will be done in an NX environment. Given certain boundary conditions on design and flow aspects, you will introduce design improvements for the current mechanical/flow design.

Both model based and experimental verification is essential to come to the right requirements and design. You're responsible for the proof of feasibility and design reviews. You will define verification criteria and coordinate verification testing of the design.

A pro-active, hands-on and result driven attitude is essential.

NEED TO HAVE:

.MODEL BASED DESIGN SKILLS (NX FLOW)
.M.Sc. degree in Mechanical, Physics or matching engineering study or B.Sc. in matching study with relevant working experience.
