Mechanical Designer

Conveyor Designer is needed for an automotive engineering services firm in southeast MI (Detroit area). Local candidates only. This is a six month possible temp-to-hire position offering competitive hourly rate and benefits. Opportunity for overtime is available. Now interviewing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- You will be responsible for mechanical design and layout of conveyors on automotive projects
- You are responsible integration of process equipment and conveyors into master plant layout and developing equipment specifications and standards
- You will develop detailed workstation layouts showing required equipment and monitor equipment fabrication and installation

REQUIREMENTS

- No degree is required, but you must have at least 3 years of experience with conveyor design and layout using AutoCAD 9 or later
- Must have experience with MS Word, Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Automotive experience is desirable.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
