Mechanical Designer

A leader in power and automation technologies is currently seeking 6 Mechanical Designers to create customer and production drawings from customer requirements, design specifications, and industry and internal standards. These positions are located in the Bland, VA, area. These are 1 year CONTRACT positions, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only, as there is no per diem offered for these positions. The pay rates listed are estimates. Please indicate your desired hourly pay rate for this position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work full time in the U.S. and must have a valid driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create customer and production drawings from customer requirements, electrical design specifications, industry standards, and internal standards
- Work to a production schedule
- Work assigned projects for the improvement and development of Dry Type Transformers

REQUIREMENTS

- AS Degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting or similar field of study
- 3+ years of directly related mechanical design experience may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement
- Transformer Mechanical Design & Engineering is a big plus
- AutoCAD 2011, and ProE (or other 3D) experience is desired
