Mechanical Design Engineer - Full Lifecycle

I'm currently seeking a number of Mechanical Design Engineers to work with my client based in the Midlands area, some key information regarding the position is as follows:

Ideally, candidates will be proficient or at least familiar with the SolidWorks CAD System.

In terms of the project, it relates to extremely large test equipment for the naval industry (approx dimensions are 30 feet x 150 feet) so experience with large industrial design is preferable. Although this is a Mechanical Design Engineer position, the R&D phase is likely to last at least 12 months but my client is also seeking candidates that are willing to stay for longer periods of time in order to assist the end customer with the integration and installation of the equipment on their site (expenses will be taken care off at this stage and you are not expected to front these costs yourself). I am also seeking candidates with knowledge of Design for Manufacture including BOMs, Tolerancing etc.

I appreciate that the rate for this position is not ideal but with the longevity, hours and remote working possibility on offer may be of interest.
