Mechanical Design Engineer - Downhole - Aberdeen

An opportunity has arisen within the engineering team of a service company based in the centre of Aberdeen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis; they have asked Progressive Global Energy in finding suitable candidates.

This position would suit candidates who are interested in working for a smaller company in Aberdeen where they can really make a difference. The size of the company allows you to have a direct impact from the beginning of your career here and to really help drive the company's performance forward.

Having moved to their current facilities a number of years ago, they have an on site workshop allowing their engineers to work with the company in a hands on capacity, allowing for a more technical approach to the work.

The succesful candidate will have the following experience:

* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering

* 5 years experience in the design and analysis of downhole oilfield products in the UK

* Proficient in hand calculations as well as FEA. CFD experience would be advantageous.

* Experience as a technician would be advantageous as well.
