Mechanical Design Engineer - Downhole - Aberdeen

Progressive Global Energy have been tasked with looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a service company to the Downhole Oil and Gas industry. The company have won a significant amount of new projects since the turn of the year, and are looking to increase their existing headcount as a result. Their work revolves around the R&D of downhole drilling tools, where they have a workshop and welding department on site. This allows for the engineers to get involved in the prototype, testing and manufacture of the equipment. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: * Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (significant relevant experience will be considered as an alternative, i.e. apprenticeship) * Knowledge and previous experience in 3D modelling and Finite Element Analysis (Inventor and ANSYS would be advantageous) * Previous experience working on the design and analysis of downhole tools (drilling tools and drill bits would be advantageous) * Eligible to work in the UK through citizenship or a valid Tier 1 General Visa For the chance to work on the R&D of downhole tools in the hub of the European Oil and Gas market, please forward your latest CV to Laura Ballance of Progressive Global Energy for consideration, and call into the office for further details.
