Mechanical Design Engineer - Cambridge - 6 Months

A client based in Cambridge is looking for an Mechanical Engineering Contractor working on a range of development projects in the healthcare industry.

This will be for an initial 3 months contract.

Role:

The role will require the individual to successfully deliver projects to meet client needs, with hands on technical work as a senior Mechanical Engineer, responsible for the delivery of innovative and robust designs of medical devices.

Skills:

She/he will need a proven track record in the robust design and development of innovative products and devices.

Detailed design and engineering analysis of components, mechanisms and assemblies for high volume manufacture.

Experience in managing the industrialisation of devices through high speed automated assembly processes.

3D and 2D CAD (Solidworks or Pro E)

CAE (FEA, CFD, dynamics/motion analysis)

Medical device regulations

Experience in systems engineering including design, definition and testing of electromechanical systems and sub-systems.

Significant experience in the field of healthcare and medical products or similar highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
