Mechanical Design Engineer

A Manufacturing Facility in the Middleton, WI area is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design of industrial electronics. This position is fully focused on achieving significant reduction of product cost through an integrated, multi-functional, cost reduction team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Involved in cost improvement projects for high horsepower drive products
- Product design, including concept generation, SolidWorks modeling and analysis and verification testing
- Conducting cross-functional design reviews
- Documentation of design changes and test results
- Implementation of engineering changes

REQUIREMENTS

- BSME or equivalent experience
- Background in DFM/A principles, experienced in cost reduction techniques
- Specific design experience with sheetmetal, wiring/cabling and fabrication techniques is required
- SolidWorks experience, including sheetmetal
- Component and system level thermal management
