Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a leading engineering and architectural firm is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of experience and a BSME or 10+ years of relevant experience in the design and layout of HVAC system, ductwork and piping systems. This position is in the Fort Worth/ Dallas area and we are only seeking local talent at this time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preparation of construction drawing utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT MEP.
- Design and layout of HVAC system, ductwork and piping system.
- Layout and design of plumbing systems.
- Understanding of applicable design codes and specification requirements.
- Calculations related to sizing and equipment selection.

REQUIREMENTS

- BSME and 3+ years or at least 10+ years of design and layout of HVAC system, ductwork and piping systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Competent in the design of the following technical areas: Layout and design of HVAC systems, Layout of ductwork and piping systems, Calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, Layout and design of plumbing systems
- Relevant project experience in retail or distribution center design a plus
