Materials/Metallurgical Technician Job

MATERIALS/METALLOGRAPHIC TECHNICIAN needed for a 12 MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in the Schenectady, NY area.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Laboratory Equipment
- Materials/Metallurgy
- AS Degree in Science (materials, metallurgy, ceramics Etc.)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Metallographic sectioning and specimen preparation and evaluation using metallurgical microscopes
- Heat treatment and operation of high temperature furnaces
- Data analysis techniques using Excel spreadsheets
- Materials testing processes and equipment including, but not limited to, Glovebox operation

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates degree in Science or technology
- Glovebox experience
- Materials/Metallographic Analysis
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with laboratory equipment
- Analytical experience with laboratory analytical equipment
- Experience with laboratory microscopes
- Knowledge of furnace and equipment controls including ability to program such equipment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Excel and PowerPoint
