Material Handler Job

MATERIAL HANDLER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in AUSTIN, TX.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Forklift and pallet jack experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work flexible shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Material Handler will work on 8 or 12 hour shift without supervision, acquire a fundamental knowledge of Specialty Gas and Chemical Products.
- The primary focus of work will be on material handling and material logistics.
- Ordering, receiving, inspection, delivering, pickup and recycle are all aspects of the material handler position.
- The position will expand to bulk gas and chemical receiving and will include basic operation for liquid transfer set up.
- The material handler will use ISO Quality Management and be able to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Previous forklift and pallet jack experience is required.
- Basic computer skills are a requirement for the job.
- Must be a strong team player and willing to work rotating shifts, on-call schedule, holidays, weekends or off shifts.
- Willing to perform physical labor which is generally associated with cylinder and drum movements.
- Physical Evaluation will be required.
- Will need to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs, bend/stoop, squat, crawl/kneel, climb, reach above shoulder; frequently push/pull.
- Will be required to perform the following work activities: working from heights, working with/around moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature/humidity, wearing protective equipment (a Scott full face respirator is a supplied air respirator and not just a breathing mask).
- Need to be cleared by the doctor to wear a respirator. They will be fit tested and trained on site with the model that fits them.
