Material Handler

Yoh has several contract opportunities for MATERIAL HANDLERS to join our client in Rochester, NY.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials to designated storage area.
- Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on production line as requested.
- Pulls stored materials for orders and moves to production or shipping area as requested.
- Packaged products as required for shipment to company's customers and suppliers.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary and work with planner to return to vendor.
- Lifts heavy items and operate a forklift.
- Distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Must be able to work without requiring direct supervision.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have High School Diploma/GED.
- At least two (2) years of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
