Master Data Finance Division - Assistant Manager

We are recruiting for at assistant manager level within the Master Data Finance Division of a UK banking organisation

The principal role of the SAP Master Data team is to maintain key SAP master data, structures, tables and reports.

While you will initially be trained in one of these areas, you will later be encouraged and supported to train in all areas of the team to increase your skill set and knowledge base, and to provide support to the whole team when required, this will include
*You will be responsible for managing customers change requests through to completion, operate key controls, resolving any issues arising, while working to a demanding month-end timetable.
* You will be expected to deliver a consistently high level of service to customers and to propose and implement improvements to the team's processes and controls.
*Work to the month end timetable ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
*Ensure customers change requests and correctly logged and processed within the monthly timescales.
*Supporting wider team to process SAP Master data requests and translation table changes.
*Dealing with ad-hoc requests and queries from customers or other FBS teams.
*Maintain excellent levels of communication with all customers and wider team.
*Flexible approach to ensure critical cover for colleagues is maintained.
*Because of the demanding month-end timetable there may be a few days each month where the job holder may need to work outside core hours.

Candidates applying for this role will require the following:
*Intermediate excel skills, including lookups, and basic formulas to enable efficient data analysis.
*Highly organised and able to manage workloads effectively
*Excellent Customer Service
*Previous experience of managing and processing change requests .
*Proven ability to assimilate information quickly and to deliver to challenging deadlines.
*Working to a monthly timetable.
*Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage, although full training will be available.
*Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
*Ability to recognise the bigger picture and foresee any risks
*Delivery to deadlines
*Excellent communication skills
*Flexibility/Team player
*Ability to assess team processes from a risk and control perspective
