Marketing Reporting Consultant Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MARKETING REPORTING CONSULTANT to join our client in Walnut Creek, CA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop, produce, and maintain high standard key reports and dashboards for Direct Sales and Marketing group and other parts of the organization.
- Drive the entire reporting process life cycle: gather business requirements, write functional requirements, develop, produce, and maintain reports/dashboards.
- Build process or environment that allows automated reporting production.
- Provide interpretation of KPIs and metrics to support key business questions.
- Manage the flow of ad-hoc reporting requests from stakeholders, establishing priorities, and setting expectations, and delivering against those priorities.
- Partner with the stakeholders to establish expectations and priorities.
- Partner with data/technology team in finding solutions for data gaps between business requirements and reality in the marketing data warehouse.
- Employ business-oriented mindset. This is not an IT position or project management.
- Hands-on with technical development (code writing).
- Explore new ways to visualize data through reports and dashboards.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Strong SAS programming: Base, Macro, Enterprise Guide
- Native SQL Language
- Advanced Excel
- Experience in working with big data stored in a complex relational data warehouse
- Five to seven (5 - 7 +) years of prior experience in reporting discipline
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-managed and highly passionate to be working in a start-up environment.
- Three to five (3 - 5+) years of prior experience in marketing discipline
- Experience in working with a robust BI platform, eg, Cognos, SAP, Oracle, SAS, etc.
- Excel VBA
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to build successful partnership with various stakeholder
- Excellent data visualization and data explanation skills
- Customer focused
- Process oriented
- Master in time management and prioritization skills
