Marketing Manager

INTERIM MARKETING MANAGER - IPSWICH - 12 MONTHS

ROLE SUMMARY:

My key client based in Ipswich is looking for a Marketing Manager who is able to demonstrate their ability to use the full marketing mix in order to plan and deliver the agreed marketing strategy and activity plan for the organisation. They will be tasked with the creation of marketing collateral, advertising, and promotional activities both on and offline. It is essential for the applicant to create innovative campaigns to drive sales towards the company. The client is an award winning organisation within their sector.

The role itself will involve ascertaining the target markets, with the creation and implementation of marketing strategies accordingly. The candidate will be tasked with the financial management of the marketing budget. Further, they will be required to manage the accounts with external bodies who create the advertising, promotions and PR campaigns. They will create targeted events including Christmas and seasonal events. Lastly, they will undertake the social media management, updating social media channels including Twitter and Facebook strategies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Full marketing mix, online and offline, PR, events
- Clear track record of creating and implementing consumer marketing strategies
- Experience of email and web marketing
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to maintain brand standards
- Commercial acumen
- UK Driving Licence
- Demonstrable marketing management abilities
- Budget and time management
- Copywriting
- Management of third party agencies
- Creation of monthly marketing reports
- Ideally from a leisure, retail or hospitality background
- Experience of financial and performance accountability
- Responsible for high quality and cost effective campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have a Marketing/Communications degree or equivalent/relevant experience
- Desirable to be working toward a CIM/IDM qualification, or member of a relevant professional body
- Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
