Our client, an online gaming company, is currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager (Bingo), to join their team in West London, initially on a 3 month contract.

Brief Description

The Team

This is a manager role within the Bingo P&L team. Reporting to the Head of/Senior Manager Bingo, you will be responsible for the full marketing strategy for the Bingo. This is a dynamic and exciting team to be in, where we expect to see huge growth over the coming years, with this role playing a central part within the P&L.

Role Summary

Working for the BingoP&L holder, you will be accountable for delivering against the marketing strategy. You will manage a small team and also be supported by the Gaming Operations function. You will own a significant marketing budget and be expected to focus on both Acquisition and Retention. You will work closely with the central acquisition teams to deliver a significant number of new players to the Bingosite. Within your direct team, you will have full accountability for the promotional life cycle, from conception through to delivery through to customers, including segmentation. You will be in charge of ARPU for all customer groups within your product area. This is a significant role that will require a broad understanding of all marketing disciplines and you will be expected to co-ordinate a number of key individuals in order to achieve the KPIs for which you are accountable.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse and fully segment the customer base in order to deliver effective customer communications to all customer segments (New, Mass Market and VIP)
- Planning. You will be required to own the marketing plan that has buy in across all the business functions and ensure the smooth delivery against it.
- You will assume budgetary control for all marketing spend. Ensure there is rigour around efficiencies of this spend and that you provide significant ROI
- Develop acquisition strategies for all below and above the line advertising including PPC, Affiliation, SEO, TV campaigns etc
- Good management of wider stakeholders
- Develop, plan and implement promotions and automated retention campaigns in order to reduce churn and increase average revenue per user (player yield).
- Ensure that promotions are consistent, timely, attractive, cost effective, relevant and aligned with other areas of the business.
- Analyse promo/campaign performance including take up rates and ROI for optimization purposes.
- Report on the effectiveness of marketing activities to the commercial team and other stakeholders.
- Generate promotional activity to continually reactivate lapsed and inactive players.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regions actively markets to, specifically in regards to regulation and legislation.
- Effectively identify and manage any risks within areas of responsibility, taking overall ownership for a promotion from concept to execution.
- Define responsibilities with the Gaming Operation team to ensure the efficient delivery of customer communications and acquisition targets
- Regularly liaise with other Marketing Managers in the games team to ensure shared learning, best practises, latest techniques and consistency with marketing efforts.
- Effectively communicate the promotional roadmap, ensuring consistency of communication and that relevant internal/external teams are properly briefed on mechanics, amounts and timings.
- Ensure promo material is aligned to brand guidelines.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Analytical mind and ability to manage promotional risk
- Delivered complex customer communication strategies
- Proven & demonstrable track record of significant revenue growth within an E-commerce business
- Detailed understanding of brand positioning and below the line advertising
- Experience of managing significant budgets
- Experience of managing complex teams, both direct and virtual
- A passion for Gaming and maximising player values
- An understanding of product management would be desirable
- Proven track record of working with marketing agencies
- Great people skills and tenacity
- A pro active attitude
