MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Sunnyvale, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Serve as the central point of contact and project manager for customer-facing projects; work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional contributors
- Conceptualize the purpose, tone, voice and precedence of messaging; outline, draft, edit and refine content for technical or laypersons for use in print, video and electronic media, presentations, press releases and other communications vehicles as needs warrant
- Initiate, monitor and influence the progress of Legal, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs approvals
- Prioritize and manage numerous projects and tasks using project tracking systems and databases to help maintain online channels with current, approved content, files and descriptions

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Marketing Communications, preferably in the medical device field
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism, Marketing, English, Communications or equivalent work experience
- Production Mastery. Experience in a production role is strongly preferred.
- This experience should be with an in-house or independent advertising agency producing online/print communications.
- Experience, interest in and aptitude for multimedia, 2D and information design is a must.
- Computer Mastery. Self-starter with ability to edit and update Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat; work in content management systems, document control systems.
- Writing/Editing Skills. This position requires solid editorial experience with portfolio of published work; an aptitude for and interest in copy editing and providing quality control feedback to project and content owners. The ideal candidate would be skilled in editing technical/promotional documentation on surgical/medical procedures.
- Communications Skills, Knowledge and Judgment. An understanding of the principles of strong business communications, marketing communications, and experience in applying strategic objectives to influence both creative and production.
- Business Skills. Familiarity with document control and manufacturing systems. Skilled in budget management, financial accountability and purchasing. Familiarity with production cost structures and the ability to assess and work within budgets is a key qualification.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

- The person in this role is responsible for on-time and on-message project delivery, and will be instrumental in maintaining branding and messaging consistency across communication platforms, including print, video, web and multimedia. This position serves as a main point of contact for Marketing Document Control for his/her projects and is responsible for initiating, monitoring and influencing the progress of Legal, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs approvals for his/her projects. He/she will be an expert in all aspects of pre-production file preparation and desktop publishing using Microsoft Office, and will have an aptitude for copywriting, proofreading and editing. He/she will be a vocal leader and will work collaboratively to ensure documents are produced, routed, and distributed on a set schedule.
