Market Risk Business Analyst/Project Manager - English Speaking Contra

To further strengthen the Market Risk IT Business Analysis Team to work on new regulatory requirements, we are seeking a capable and experienced MARKET RISK IT BUSINESS ANALYST/PROJECT MANAGER to undertake requirement analysis and delivery of a new project which is driven by a set of new regulatory requirements in Switzerland.

The successful candidate will work closely with the business and IT stakeholders, project managers, delivery leads and other projects/programmes distributed across regions to specify requirements and related process changes for the implementation of IT solutions and coordinate UAT testing and business Roll-out. In depth knowledge of risk data processing concepts and business data content is required along with a broad knowledge across capital markets products. In addition a sound knowledge of complex IT architecture in the area of risk data management (staging, validation, transformation and publishing) is required.

THE JOB:

- Lead the analysis of the impact of the new regulation on the Market Risk Management function and in particular the related requirements for Market Risk IT.
- Produce project plans, program initiation documents and requirement documents.
- Run weekly project team meetings.
- Work with Market Risk Management and Reporting, Methodology and Front Office to understand and analyze the required changes in the source data feeds and review the proposed solution to ensure that it meets the requirements.
- Coordinate the extensive testing effort of changed data feeds from front to back from Front Office feed to the Market Risk Data Hub to reporting.
- Work with Software Developers and Architects to understand the front to back solution and any technical limitations.
- Liaise with Project Managers to prioritize and plan the delivery of multiple streams
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance staff to ensure the quality of the functional solution delivered.
- Work with Rates, FX, Equity and Credit Product team and development team to understand the complex dependencies between the data flows from different source systems and functional requirements to propose solutions for identified gaps and issues.

The Market Risk IT Business Analyst/PM acts as a bridge between the business and IT organization, and provides a central contact point during the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation phases.

This is a broad and challenging role that requires a combination of business, product and technical knowledge, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- 5+ years in Financial Services and must have Investment Banking products experience.
- Strong Business Analysis skills, including gathering requirements, data analysis, writing functional specifications, testing.
- Experience in Project Management of small to medium sized projects.
- Be a self-starter, show initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
- Real world experience in working on large and complex projects in the area of Market spanning regions.
- STRONG RISK MANAGEMENT BACKGROUND, IN PARTICULAR MARKET RISK - GARP or PRMIA certification is a plus
- In depth knowledge of Risk Management process along with a broad knowledge across capital markets products
- Good Datamodelling and data analysis skills.
- Experience with tools for business analysis, change and defect management
- Experience in defining and executing test plans and managing defects and defect resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- University Degree in IT and/or Finance/Economics/Business Administration
