MARKET DATA SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a MARKET DATA SME. For this contract position based in Zurich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company then please have a look at the details:
ROLE:
- The main duties of the role will be to act as a business analyst as part of the Market Data Business Advisory Team in Switzerland.
- Provide information, advice, solutions and value-added consultation on market data as a subject matter expert to various and other group business units, including colleagues in Market Data Services, IT, and sourcing functions.
- Gather, document, critically analyse and communicate market data business requirements and issues. Understand user requirements for contract renewals, and user requests for new services etc.
- Analyse the impact on Market Data Business Advisory strategy, identifying opportunities, appropriately challenging sourcing and solution proposals, communicating to stakeholders, feeding requirements to IT and proposing solutions, obtaining approvals, evaluating cost allocations.
- Build relationships and regular communication lines with the business and key stakeholders. Establish trust and credibility.
- Manage and deliver Market Data projects. Represent the sponsor's view and assume responsibility for request management, budget allocation, timeline/milestones (in collaboration with IT), and communication to stakeholders on the project status. Lead demand management activities requested from client eg rationalization exercises, product replacement analyses.
SKILLS:
- Subject Matter Expertise in Market Data with over 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of traditional market data suppliers such as SIX, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Exchanges, Ratings Agencies, and Reference data suppliers
- Strong knowledge in non-Real Time and research data services
- A good communicator at all levels, as the role involves liaising with internal clients and external suppliers
- Experience of cost containment and cost savings in line with Market Data's overall target.
- Fluent English and high advantage if you can speak German
- Able to work under own initiative and with teams across the Globe
- Experience working with a Market Data Inventory such as MDM,FINOFFICE, INFOmatch
- Excellent Excel & Presentation skills
