Maritime/Bulk Oil Fuel Programme Manager

MARITIME/BULK OIL FUEL PROGRAMME MANAGER - ANDOVER - PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT, SC, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, LARGE SCALE INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAMMES, MARITIME, OIL FUEL

This position is a 6 month contract (with potential to extend) based in Andover. Ideally this candidate will have a current SC clearance; however candidates who are eligible for clearance are welcome to apply.

This position is to work for my high profile government client.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FROM THE PROGRAMME MANAGER:

- Leadership, Communications and coordination.
- Programme Management
- Resource management
- Chartered member of an appropriate Institute.
- Leadership experience in the successful delivery of multiple large scale maritime and/or bulk oil fuel infrastructure programmes.

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES:

- Manage the OFD Programme at a strategic and tactical basis on behalf of the Dep Hd PPD South
- Manage the programme activities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Dep Hd PPD South.
- Provide leadership and management of the OFD Programme and representing the programme to the Senior Responsible Owner and Programme Board through monthly progress review meetings.
- Establish a programmatic approach to the day to day management of the programme underpinned by project scheduling, risk management (including mitigation action planning), effective benefits realisation plans at programme and project level.
- Establish and implement a resource management plan for both internal MOD staff and external technical support staff.
- Effective sponsor and stakeholder engagement, expectation management, board level management and communication (including reporting) and communication to wider stakeholders.
- Identification of interfaces and dependencies and implementation of mitigation action to minimise impact on the programme.
- Management of the Programme budget through appropriate project accounting and reporting to PPD-Hd Projects.
- Build and manage the programme team comprising of DIO personnel and external technical support in alignment to MOD Core and Functional competences and DIO behavioural standards.

This position is based in Andover, which is commutable from Basingstoke, Salisbury, Newbury and Southampton.
