Manufacturing Technician Job

MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client located in Fremont, CA.

To support our growing Product Development activities, we seek a highly motivated Manufacturing/Process Development Technician to expand our Product Development Team. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, performing routine production and a small portion of QC activities for the manufacturing of colloidal reagents. You will also support manufacturing processes developments. Activities will be conducted in a chemistry/biochemistry lab and a controlled environment setting. This is a great 6 month contract opportunity

What You'll Be Doing:

- Synthesis, purification and fractionation of nano/micro particles
- Conjugation, aliquotation and lyophilization of colloidal reagents
- Preparation of buffers and other biochemical formulations
- Support the development of manufacturing processes of colloidal reagents
- Help maintain and track supplies inventory
- Perform basic in-process QC tasks and record results
- Record manufacturing tasks in batch records/travelers, and perform computer data entry
- Perform basic preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a life science related degree
- Two (2) plus years experience in a hands-on, wet bench manufacturing support related position in the chemical or biotech industry
- Proficient hands-on experience with standard biotech laboratory and work practices (pipetting, balances, pH meters, vortex mixer, UV-Vis, etc.)
- Ability to maintain extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work
- Ability to effectively document procedures, processes, and results
- Good communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Compliance with ISO 9001, 13485 guidelines and cGMP regulations

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience with wet chemistry chemical synthesis, chromatography
- Previous experience with handling of colloidal solutions.
