Manufacturing Process Engineer Job

MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER needed for a 12 MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in the Detroit, MI area.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Tests products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
- Apply design fundamentals and formulate test plans to assess and validate design concepts.
- Provide assistance with production processes.
- Conduct troubleshooting..
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and technical developments affecting areas of responsibility.
- Communicate results internally during project report out sessions.
- Familiarity with appropriate analytical tools and experimental techniques.
- Execute technical assignments in a resourceful, solid, and timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Maintain state-of-the-art technical skills and knowledge.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- B.S. in Engineering Design, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in production/manufacturing environment.
- Background in Quality Control practices and statistical methods.
- Design for manufacture experience to improve part design from a manufacturability perspective while meeting desired product performance specs.
- Experience in Quality Control and statistical methods.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards.
- Knowledge of design software.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter software a plus.
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to changing processes.
- Must be organized and be able to multitask.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing a plus.
