MANUFACTURING LINE PACKAGING ASSISTANTS needed for a CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in HICKSVILLE, NY 11801

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Manufacturing experience (FDA/cGMP environment a plus)
- Multiple positions and shifts available

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Keep assigned lines supplied with bulk products and components. Perform various filling and packaging operations.
- Scrapes hoppers, assures hoppers stay filled during production run.
- Maintains supply of gloves, sleeves, dust masks, IPA, wipes on packaging lines.
- Replaces yellow tape used to identify storage areas as needed.
- Assures all perimeter shippers are labeled prior to leaving the production floor.
- Fills in temporarily for line staff as needed.
- Supplies specific sections of a production line with product and packaging components as required.
- Attaches pumps and hoses into hopper connections as required.
- Transfers materials and/or products to or from storage or work sites to designated area by manual or power floor jack, dolly or other device.
- Loads and unloads components or product onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves and machines manually.
- Positions components on machines and monitors operations to detect malfunctions.
- Erects shippers, removes trash, product waste from packaging area Cleans and sanitizes work areas using broom, wipes, mop, or cleaning machine.
- Performs all tasks following SOP's cGMP's, and safety guidelines.
- Weighs or counts product for disposal, documents weight and disposes accordingly.
- Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMP's, company policies, and all other quality or regulatory requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of one year production experience
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and maintain a high level of physical activity
- English reading and comprehension skills required to understand and communicate SOP's, cGMP's, and Filling & Manufacturing Instructions, and identify compliance and non-compliance with same.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform weight calculations.
- Participate in Behavioral Based Safety Program (BBS) by complying with all safety procedures and preventive measures (ie, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE
