Job Mission

To design, maintain, and optimize production and service processes and adapt to changed output requirements. Develop and apply methods of measuring the performance of the production process. Support the Production in order to ensure product quality, short lead-times and 'short time to market'. To improve reliability, availability and operational cost of the installed products at the customer site, according to agreed specification

Job Description

Manufacturing/Equipment Engineer: from design to mechanical build and qualification in the Assembly work centre till setup and qualification in TEST and Install and service at the customer.

- New Product Introduction:

o Lays down operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters and indicators.

o Brings his knowledge to bear on (new) product development projects, in order to foresee production problems in the design phase and in order to improve the manufacturability of the product and test design.

o Take care for new product introduction towards field organization

o Define documentation, spare parts and tooling for the global service organization.

- Continuous Improvement:

o Analyses the production process, points out structural problems and bottlenecks, works out suggestions for improvements and initiates their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounded departments as Development, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer Support.

o Analyze global product performance and define requirements for co-design improvement.

- Support:

o Contributes to the rapid solution of complex faults and takes the necessary initiatives and practical decisions.

o Be the expert in analysis of complex problems on-site

o Knowledge transfer from development to operational sectors and to local service organizations

o Minimize operational costs for volume products.
