Within this role you will take responsibility for the manufacturability of current and new products that the operations quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved. You will ensure that all engineering problems are resolved to achieve Production / Materials customer delivery dates and targets and the implementation of lean manufacture methods and practices. You will take responsibility for the manufacturability of new products and ensure a smooth transfer of the product into production and ensure the quality and design of the product shipped is cost effective. The successful candidate for this role will have previous experience within a similar role and be educated to degree level or equivalent in engineering or manufacturing. You will have a good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles along with knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience of solving challenging engineering / manufacturing problems is essential along with previous Project Management experience. We are looking for a hardworking "hands on" individual with the ability to communicate at all levels and work from your own initiative as well as part of a team.
