Manufacturing Engineer

A vacancy has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in the Manufacturing Engineering department of a leading construction company based in Stafford. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting quality, cost and growth requirements within the business. This will be a challenging and exciting role during a period of significant growth and new model introduction.

The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of:

* Welding/Assembly and Fabrication processes in a medium volume manufacturing environment
* A knowledge of lean techniques and processes
* New model introduction
* Identifying and implementing of process improvements
* Generating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
* Capital equipment specification and procurement
* Project management
* Support to daily operations

The ideal candidate should possess well developed communication and influencing skills, a good sense of urgency, flexibility, versatility and commitment. HND/HNC, or equivalent, is desirable under pinned with 3 years experience in a similar role. P.C. literacy is essential. You will need to be able to work as an active member of a team and on your own initiative with minimum supervision.

The salary on offer is c.£38k plus bonus and pension. The company are happy to provide a relocation package for the right individual.
