Manufacturing Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER to join our client in Seattle, WA.

Job Responsibilities:
- Understands and utilizes knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Work closely with Engineering and Operations team to ensure drawings, specifications and engineering documents properly convey engineering intent.
- Confers with planning and design staff regarding manufacturability of engineering designs and specifications to ensure ability of vendors to deliver quality parts, on time.
- Estimates production times, vendors, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Analyzes and plans workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Evaluates vendors' capabilities to produce parts and assemblies on-time delivery of parts and assemblies that meet quality control standards.
- Evaluates, develops, and suggests enhancements to vendor manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment.
- Provide assistance to vendors to achieve on time delivering of quality parts and assemblies.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding vendors' manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and to facilitate production.
- Support Non-Conforming product dispositions, working with the Operations and Quality departments to propose the proper disposition of the non-conformity and corrective action plans.
- Confers and coordinates with vendors regarding product specifications.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials and Process, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of professional experience, or Master's degree in Materials and Process, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with five (5) years of professional experience.
- Proficient in parametric CAD modelling and drafting software (SolidWorks and/or Pro/E preferred)
- Familiarity with FAA requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
