Manufacturing Engineer

Multiple Manufacturing Engineers with automotive, industrial manufacturing and body shop experience are needed in Detroit, MI area. These are longterm contracts, possible temp-to-hire positions, offering competitive hourly rate, generous overtime potential and benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES

- You will be responsible for working in a body shop of automotive assembly facilities, mainly in the Detroit area, with some travel to other facilities in the USA. Expenses while travelling will be covered.
- You will be responsible for troubleshooting, coordinating with automotive manufacturing tooling suppliers, ensuring adherence to tooling standards, resolving problems, specifying scope.
- You will specify tooling examples (Body Framing, side aperture, front closure, door hemmers, and all the equipment that puts the sheet metal together. May also involve working with conveyors and tooling on the shop floor.

REQUIREMENTS

- Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent related work experience, and at least 2 years of hands on manufacturing engineer experience in an industrial manufacturing, body shop or assembly environment.
- Must be able to travel throughout the United States to other body shops and facilities as needed.
- Must be able to travel in North America and work some weekends as needed.
- Must have experience working in a Body Shop environment at Assembly Facilities. Knowledge of conveyors and tooling is helpful.
